21 Day Fix-Approved Peanut Sauce
The official nutrition guide for the 21 Day Fix has some mighty tasty recipes, but if I was going to follow the plan long term, I needed a Fix-approved recipe for peanut sauce! One thing I really love about this plan is that there isn't much at all that you have to give up; it's all about finding healthier alternatives that satisfy the craving. Be it for sweet, salty, crunchy, or fatty, there's sure to be a Fix-approved food that does the trick!
The Fix doesn't lead to feelings of deprivation like some diets do, and I think that's largely because of how much attention is given to flavor in the Fix recipes and eating plan. Spices are free (although salt is to be limited), and the nutrition guide includes multiple recipes for sauces.
Let's add this one to our repertoire, since it's made entirely with Fix-approved ingredients. I would measure it and count it with your orange container just like Fix-approved dressings.
2 Tbsp honey
1/3 c peanut butter
2 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
1 Tbsp white wine vinegar
Whisk all the ingredients together in a small bowl. Measure out an orange container's worth and use for dipping meat or stir into your stir fry with brown rice or whole wheat pasta.
